On the first weekend of December I found myself in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The reason for the trip was to experience the town’s epic devotion to the Christmas season, including a couple visits to Bronner’s. While the point of the trip was not beer focused, I (of course) made sure to stop in the local brewery across the street from out hotel, Frankmuth Brewery.
The Brewery itself was very nice and had a great atmosphere. I tried three different beers, the Hefeweizen, the Batch 69 American Style IPA, and the Harvest Ale. All three were good beers, nothing amazing, but very solid. I’d have to say the Hefe and Harvest were a notch ahead of the IPA. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you’re ever in the area.
